Each neighborhood has unique needs, but we are all united by a deep commitment to our community and a shared responsibility to protect it.
As Groton looks to the future, the growing impacts of a changing climate pose real challenges for our community. Along our coastlines and in our inland neighborhoods, the signs are becoming harder to ignore: rising seas and flooding rivers, heavier rains, and intensifying heat. These issues demand local, practical solutions—and Groton is stepping up. From installing solar panels on schools to electrifying municipal vehicles, we’re investing in sustainable strategies that cut pollution and build long-term resilience.
Climate-Ready Groton is our call to action. This is a plan shaped by the people of Groton because creating a climate-ready future will take all of us. Taking Action Together means building a safer, stronger future where we all benefit from collaborative climate action.
