Chapter 6: A Place Where We Work Together to Get it Done

We’re seeking community input on policies and strategies that support effective, transparent, and accountable implementation of Groton’s POCD. This short survey asks whether you support, support with changes, or do not support a series of proposed approaches for this topic area. Your feedback will help guide how Groton strengthens communication, coordinates across departments, and builds a responsive structure for putting the plan into action.

Community Engagement

Policy 6.1: Provide Open and Transparent Communications and Opportunities for Community Engagement Across All Levels of Government.

Strategy 6.1a: Develop a Town-wide comprehensive communications strategy to ensure that the public is informed about what is going on, how to find information, and how to get involved in local government. Ensure that there are clear channels of communication for the public to contact and provide feedback to Town staff and officials and a centralized digital platform for ongoing projects.

Strategy 6.1b: Develop a Civics Engagement training program for all residents including those from underrepresented populations.
