Updated Information: Town of Groton Findings Presentation, Town of Groton Parks & Recreation Master Plan Survey Report, Groton LOS Mapping The Parks and Recreation Master Plan provides a long-term vision and roadmap for the future of the Town's parks and recreation system. The Plan will build on the previous plan, celebrating the progress made toward previous goals and will serve as a foundation for the future. The Department is committed to serving all community members, and this plan will help meet that goal. |

I believe it would be beneficial to have outside gym equipment added to Poquonock plains park, the ones similar to Washington Park.
Poquonock plains is very busy most days, there are many parents at the playground with the kids, I think it would be great to have the equipment near there for them to use. Or possibly spread out through the park, so many different types visitors everyday.

Designated playgrounds
Designated playgrounds for different age groups; toddlers, children and teenagers. Tricentennial playground gets very busy and it can be challenging for small children when bigger kids or teenagers are running around, playing intense games of tag, climbing up the slides or rough playing. The parking lot also fills up quickly with sporting events.

Please no lighted fields. Cost too much. Don’t need them except for football field at Fitch where they are already. When it’s dark go home

Splash Pads
Family friendly splash pads would be great for all: small kids to seniors, and for those w/ physical impairments; a splash pad would also be more inclusive than a pool.
