SUTTON PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Sutton Park is due for some major upgrades! Use this page to keep up to date with the project and engage in the planning process.
Some proposed changes already informed by community members' input include:
- Expanding the skate park
- Adding permanent, family style bathrooms
- Water fountains with bottle fillers
- Addition/extension of a multi-use trail
- New climbing structure playground
- Two new basketball courts
- Fitness and workout area
- Additional parking

While we won't be able to include everything everyone wants, options with more public support are more likely to be incorporated into the final plans.

Splash pads
I’ve seen these in other towns. They seem to be very popular. Well used and the kids look like they’re having a blast. Great place to cool off in the summer months.

Picnic Pavillions
The town has NO pavilions like Washington Park does. Please find a spot for these! Maybe at the office in Noank or Esker Point?

Add handicapped accessibility to playgrounds. Wheelchair swings, slides, etc and widen proposed trails for handicapped. I.e. bench stops f
Here is a wheelchair swing that is also suitable for adults.

Sensory gardens, place sensory/musical sculptures along the sidewalks for kids and people with disabilities of all types.
Use the sidewalks as opportunities for play and rest, add benches and sensory structures that anyone can use.

Wifi
Allow there to be free Wifi throughout the park.
