Think at the Sink
THINK at the SINK promotes better drain care to prevent the FROG CLOGS which cause costly floods, unpleasant neighborhood sewer overflows, sewage plant issues, & unhealthy marine life conditions.
FROG CLOGS are created when people use SINKS, TOILETS, or CATCH BASINS to get rid of non-dissolving items like cooking oil, diapers, make-up wipes, paper towels, and more. Clogs may happen immediately, but more often they build invisibly and slowly over time.
You probably get that only rain & snow go in storm drains, but did you know? Only poop, pee, vomit, & toilet paper belong in toilets (not even tissues), and only water-soluble liquids go in sinks. Sink & toilet cleaners are exceptions due to special formulas which make them dissolve, but items labeled as "FLUSHABLE"? Often that is false advertising and another BIG PROBLEM.
That is why we need to THINK at the SINK!
Not sure what's soluble? WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT, i.e. put in your garbage pail. But note, chemicals, prescriptions, & hazardous waste are all dangerous for our planet, so need added care.
