Our Family Weekend in Mystic

We are a family of 11 - 3 generations in 3 separate parts of the Tri-State/New England area. To spend time together, someone must always travel and only one of the homes is big enough for all of us to stay. Traveling with young children can be a challenge, so for my husband's 65th birthday, I looked to find a rental big enough for all of us, close enough so all could travel part-way with ease. Mystic was the perfect central location. Having a short term rental allows us to spend the quality time together that we crave. Hotels and restaurants do not. Eating dinner together as a family was the most important part of the weekend - especially when celebrating a milestone birthday. The ability to rent short-term is what made us go to Mystic - not the location itself - that was secondary. If we could not rent short term, we would have found another location. But we are very glad we were able to spend that weekend in Mystic as it was a perfect location to go with young children. Tourism of the area needs short term rentals. With higher prices of hotels and meals, and when traveling with young children, short term rentals are what bring people to your area. Keep your tourism flourishing with rental properties.
